Guest of Honor, The Iron Sheik
Former AAU champion, Olympic coach, and former WWE champion The Iron Sheik has stood the test of time
and then some! Years after retiring from the ring, he remains as popular as ever with his many mainstream TV
and radio appearances, as well as the critically acclaimed dvd Rebuilding the Sheik from Kayfabe
Commentaries.
The Sheik is still irresistible to even the big guys, as Sheik still makes occasional appearances on WWE
television. The legendary hothead has started showbiz wars with everyone from Brian Blair to Bubba the Love
Sponge. On October 10th, just maybe it's time for The Iron Sheik to be HUMBLED!
Host, Bill Apter
Apter is probably the most recognizable and successful photographer/writer in the history of wrestling media.
When wrestling boomed in popularity in the 1980s, Apter's (or Stanley Weston's) magazines exploded in
popularity to such a degree that Apter soon became a major factor in individual wrestlers' popularity.
Apter is now a feature columnist for Fighting Spirit magazine. The magazine covers professional wrestling
along with MMA.
Don Jamieson
Amongst his many accomplishments, comedian Don Jamieson can now add "Emmy Award-Winner" for his
work on HBO's Inside The NFL. Don and long-time comedy partner, Jim Florentine, lent their brand of humor to
the popular sports show this past football season; writing, producing and performing sports-themed comedy
sketches.
The two have also collaborated on the hidden-camera DVD, Meet The Creeps which is available in stores
worldwide as well as a series of prank call CD's, Terrorizing Telemarketers, which get a lot of airplay on the
Howard Stern Radio Show.
Don's stand-up act brings his everyday take on life, the hip, the cool and the tragically sublime into the
spotlight. Besides performing at clubs in New York City, Don tears it up at clubs and college campuses all over
the country. His reputation as one of New York City's top up-and-coming comics was cemented when he was
asked to perform live on ABC's Good Morning America.
"Magnificent" Don Muraco
Muraco wrestled in the American Wrestling Association (AWA), and several National Wrestling Alliance
territories, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Jim Crockett Promotions, and Championship Wrestling from
Florida. In 1980 he first appeared in the WWE, where he would have his greatest success. Between June 20,
1981 and February 11, 1984 he held the Intercontinental Championship twice for a combined period of almost
18 months.
The relentless heel had legendary feuds with WWE stalwarts like Bob Backlund, Pedro Morales, Tito Santana,
and Jimmy Snuka, which culminated in one of Madison Square Garden's most historic wrestling matches--the
1983 steel cage match.
The Iron Sheik credits Muraco as being one of his favorite party pals, and deems Muraco a former "Medicine
Man" of great stature.
Brian Blair
Brian Blair debuted in pro wrestling's great Florida territory in 1977, under the training of Hiro Matsuda and the
under the booking of Eddie Graham. Blair also worked for Bob Geigel in Central States, as well as Leroy
McGuirk's Tri County territory.
Blair's biggest success came when he joined the WWE in the 80s and rode the wave of wild success that was
granted the federation's athletes. Brian's most memorable run came when he tagged with Jumpin Jim
Brunzell to form the popular Killer Bees tag team. Although it wasn't their feud with The Iron Sheik and Nikolai
Volkoff that got him the most heat with the hot-headed Iranian former champ.
During a shoot interview several years ago, seemingly out of nowhere, the mere mention of Blair's name threw
Sheik into a tirade, where he repeatedly threatened to break Blair's back and humble him "old country way" by
cornholing him. Now, for the first time, Blair gets his opportunity to respond!
Blair has since thrown his hat in a ring of a different sort. In 2004, Blair was elected County Commissioner,
District 6 (countywide) for Hillsborough County.
Nikolai Volkoff
Nikolai spent his entire career being hated by wrestling fans all over the country. After wrestling as Bepo
Mongol and being managed by Lou Albano, Nikolai adopted the Soviet gimmick and the rest is history. As the
cold war still raged in people hearts and minds, Nikolai remained a reminder of the danger halfway across the
globe.
That was parlayed into many memorable feuds. But Nikolai and his tag team partner The Iron Sheik made
history at Wrestlemania I when they won the WWE tag belts.
Nikolai spent years traveling with Sheik, and one can only speculate what skeletons might fall out of his mouth
when he takes the podium on October 10!

the Iron Sheik.

has been heard on Sirius Satelite Radio. He has opened for top comedians such as: Jackie "The Jokeman"
Martling, Rev. Bob Levy, Patrice O'neal, Nick Dipaolo, Jim Florentine, and Robert Kelly of "Dane Cook's
Tourgasm"
Adnan Al-Kaissy
Known as Sheik and General in his illustrious career, Al-Kaissy was born in Baghdad, Iraq and was a
classmate of Saddam Hussein. He wrestled in Iraq and then came to Oklahoma State where he also
competed.
His pro wrestling career took him all over the US, before landing in the WWE in 1991 where he managed Sgt
Slaughter with...guess who...The Iron Sheik, at that time known as Col. Mustafa, for some reason.
Tom Brandi and King Kaluha
Tom worked as The Patriot as well as Sal Sincere, and has worked for WWE, WCW, and ECW. He broke into
the business in 1985 after being trained by King Kaluha.
Brandi and Kaluha have decided to "tag team" their set for a wild ride at the roast!
King Kong Bundy
From the Main Event in Wrestlemania 2 to this comedic tribute to The Iron Sheik, Bundy's professional life has
seen some major highs. Bundy has worked in the major territories, like Memphis, Dallas, AWA, Mid South,
and of course, WWE. His Wrestlemania I match is best known for its "record setting" bell time of 9 seconds.
On October 10th, Bundy gets his chance to skewer his old pal Sheiky baby. Bundy will take the podium and do
his best to put Sheik down for the count. Five count, of course.
